You can see Lily’s video birth and placement announcement here. After 8 years on adoption lists, all the surrogacy attempts and every challenge, we welcomed this healthy, beautiful girl into our world and the family is overjoyed.
World, meet Lily Bree: born on December 18, 2020 at 9:55 am, weighing 5 pounds, 9 ounces and measuring 18 inches long. This is adoption, this is family. With excited smiles and open arms, we welcomed newborn Lily Bree before Christmas.
Her birth parents, strong and deliberate, chose to help build our family with care and compassion. As we hold this tremendous wonder in our arms, we hold them in our hearts. In what is our greatest joy, we understand the monumental sacrifice felt by her creators. There are no words for the gratitude and love felt, now completely overflowing.
To the Adoption Options team: thank you. Again, it’s not enough. Still, every past years’ share of anguish and impatience is replaced with peace and comfort, miraculously relieved by the smallest weight of this child. Your dedication to birth parents enables the realization of dreams.
Oh, to Covid and 2020: we win. Not that it’s a competition.
