We are beyond excited to announce our new addition to our family, Brookeh Dawn. Brookeh is 17 months old and she has been the most incredible bundle of love and joy from the moment we met. Our hearts are so full, and we are so grateful for the love and trust that Brookeh’s birth parent has shown us by choosing our family.
Brookeh came into our home almost a month after meeting her for the first time, with many visits in between to help her get to know us as trusted adults. This experience of adopting an older child through a pandemic has been incredibly unique as there are so many more factors that we had to consider in the establishment of relationship and trust.
Each day is filled with discovery for Brookeh, as we see her eyes light up one new experience at a time. Her face is filled with pure excitement each time we turn on the Christmas lights on our tree. From baking with us to playing in the snow and giving kisses to our puppies, she has shown us the gift of finding deep joy in the little moments, life brings us. We are so in love with her. This process has been an emotional one, more than we have ever experienced before, and we are forever grateful to Adoption Options for guiding us through this journey.
