Workshop Description: Take a look at adoption through the eyes of the adoptee, adoptive parents, friends and family. Together we will explore the journey of adoption, talk about identifying and managing the big feelings that come with grief and loss, early childhood trauma and attachment challenges, and Wendy will provide resources to support you and your child through the beautiful and sometimes complicated journey of adoption.
Presenter Bio: Wendy Goetze is a registered art therapist with the Canadian and American art therapy associations. She is also a certified play therapist with the Canadian Association for Child and Play Therapy. She has been in private practice for more than 30 years. She is also the mother of seven children, including four adopted children and three biological children. She brings to her practice both professional and personal experience in the area of adoption, attachment and related issues.
