With overwhelming joy and excitement we are pleased to introduce the newest little Blanchette, Amelia Kate, born October 17, 2019 at 3:16 p.m., weighing an itty bitty 5 lbs 13 oz, measuring 18 inches, and finally in our arms October 18, 2019.
We will forever be amazed by the strength and selflessness of Amelia’s birth parents. It will truly never be possible to put into words our thankfulness for this gift we have been entrusted with. They will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
A special thank you goes out to our ‘village’ who came together at a moment’s notice to make this dream come true for us. This has been a journey, and you all walked it alongside us. You are all so loved and appreciated!
We would also like to extend a thank you to the medical staff at the Peter Lougheed Centre in Calgary for taking such good care of Amelia, both before and after our arrival in Calgary, as well as the care provided to Amelia’s birth mother during her stay.
Finally, we are so very grateful for the immense amount of support we received from Adoption Options throughout our journey to making our family whole. We are truly over the moon and so in love! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you have done for us.
For those still waiting for placement, we hope you can take comfort in knowing your turn is coming. You just have to wait for the perfect match for you! And when it comes, it will be so worth the wait!
