We are so pleased, after five long years of waiting, to announce our adoption placement. Nataliya (Tali) Kimberley Erin Lix was born in Calgary on March 25 at 11:14 am. At 8:10 that night, we got the phone call telling us her Birthmom had chosen us. We drove to Calgary, where only Caryn was allowed to stay in the hospital because of the concerns with Covid 19. Adoption during a pandemic was an unusual experience to say the least, but on Friday we were allowed to bring our girl home.
Thank you so much to Mackenzie, our amazing social worker through Adoption Options, to Tali’s birthmother, and to our friends and families who have stood by us and loved us through this sometimes difficult but ultimately incredible journey!
