Our adoption story took place over several years, many of these were emotional and challenging as we yearned to be parents; while fielding awkward questions from friends and family. Even when we decided on international adoption our hope was measured as we knew there was a complex application process and the uncertainty of finding a match with a birthmother ahead.
After 1.5 years we had a match and anxiously awaited updates towards the birth. We will never forget the night we got the call that our daughter was born and from the day we saw her in the hospital were we so in love. Rowan has brought so much joy and happiness to our whole family and we love her more each day.
