A Day to Celebrate Birthmothers
Saturday May 7, 2016

Mother's Day is a day to celebrate and pay respect to our mothers: the women who nurture us, love us, and give birth to us. However this statement may not be true in all cases as we know that many couples today are not able to give birth and choose to adopt. We also want to remember and celebrate the women who place these children for adoption. They give the greatest gift of all life.

Now there is a special day to recognize birthmothers.  Birthmother's Day honours women who placed their children for adoption, and is held the day before Mother's Day. Adoption Options hosts an Connections ceremony on this special day each year.
